NEW DATE: August 26, 2020 8:30-9:30 pm EST/5:30-6:30 pm PST

GOALS

  1. Feel like you have a community of people joining you in the challenge of engaging in conversations about racial equity with white family members.

  2. Have concrete tools to use to initiate, plan for, and facilitate a conversation about race with your white family members.

  3. Have created a next step to help guide you toward action.

YOUR FACILITATORS

Lisa and Amy are sisters who grew up in a community that pioneered racial integration (Lisa lives there now!) and instilled a sense of justice and how and why to communicate across lines of difference to create more equitable spaces. We have been, and will continue to be, on our diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism journeys as white women. Lisa Lazarus is the CEO of Lazarus Forward, which helps innovative organizations chart their strategy, develop talent, and partner for community-wide impact.  Amy Lazarus is the Founder and former CEO of InclusionVentures, helping organizations bring out the best in their people in order to bring their world-changing ideas to life. Lisa and Amy will apply their insights from working with foundations, corporations, and nonprofits to have difficult yet critical conversations with family members.

WHY IS THIS CONVERSATION FOR WHITE PARTICIPANTS?

To address and work to end racism, we must work at individual, interpersonal, organizational, and systemic levels. This session will focus on the interpersonal level and will provide tools for white people to talk with other white family members about race.

Please register by August 22.  We look forward to seeing you on August 26 at 5:30 pm PST/8:30 pm EST!
