Lazarus Forward's Coaching Circles will help you gain and practice implementing tools and vocabulary to advance racial equity and feel more equipped to speak up and navigate common challenges in conversations about race.

Dates for the coaching circle will be determined based on participants’ availability, as noted in the application.

• Do you feel uncomfortable--or sometimes even paralyzed--when talking about race?

• Do you find yourself wondering how to shift your consumption of articles, books, and podcasts about racial equity into effective practice?

• Do you want to take more antiracist actions yet have unanswered questions and are unsure of how to begin?

If you answered “yes” to the questions above, consider joining the inaugural Advancing Racial Equity: A Coaching Circle for White Folx.

1. Gain tools and vocabulary for understanding select racial dynamics and speaking about race  

2. Practice implementing tools and vocabulary for effective leadership (within your organization and/or with family or friends) to advance racial equity

3. Feel more equipped to speak up and navigate common challenges in conversations about race

We know that for racism to exist, there needs to be a combination of individual, institutional, and systemic practices in place.  For us to be able to begin to impact the institutional and systemic racism we see, we need to do our own individual work.  To create braver spaces, we want to create a space where we, a group that identifies as white folx, can:

• Process our own racial journeys

• Reduce the burden on people of color to recount their experiences as a learning opportunity for white folx

• Provide white folx space to uncover how our racialization may impact beliefs and actions

• Acknowledge that we are all in different places.

• As an inaugural coaching circle participant, you will pay only the reduced pilot price of $250.

• A portion of the proceeds will go to All Our Kin and Groundswell.
